Who are our babies?
Babies in poverty without a clean and safe place to sleep
Babies born to young mothers who don’t know where to turn
Babies who are born too early and small, who need appropriate sized clothing
Babies who are born, but lose the fight for life so bereavement items for the baby and the family are needed
If you believe you can support the mission of serving these babies and families, then Newborns In Need would like to talk to you.
Our chapter presidents have a strong dedication to the organization and spend many hours serving these babies. Presidents understand that even thought they operate chapters in their own state, they are part of a larger team and work toward the success of the total organization which is headquartered in North Carolina. We are looking for dedication, commitment and the ability to lead strong individual groups but be able to work in tandem with chapters across the United States. Due to our locations across the U.S., internet access and e-mail capability are required to lead your Newborns In Need chapter.
The first question is, can you find a team of three to begin the journey toward successful chapter leadership? Before submitting an application, please identify a willing vice-president with whom you can work closely with and a secretary/treasurer who has the ability to keep organized records and understands the importance of meeting deadlines. Once you have gathered your winning team, please contact our chapter development team at nationaloffice@newbornsinneed.org for more information and include new chapter inquiry in the subject line. You will be contacted within 24 hours by our chapter specialists who will work with you to establish your team as a strong part of the NIN family. An application form will be sent for you to fill out with information on your proposed board and once all criteria has been met it will be submitted to the national office for approval.
As a NIN Chapter, you will benefit from:
Membership in a 501(c)3 charity meeting all requirements of the IRS to provide charitable donation receipts
A free website and e-mail address for yourself and board members
A bank account to manage donations and funds
Ongoing support from the National Office and other chapter presidents
An internet message board and email list access for exchanging information with others who are interested in helping the babies.
All of us at Newborns in Need are excited at the prospect of you joining our organization. Last year over 300,000 items were donated and we still have needs pouring in from all over the country. Help us answer the cry of these babies. We need your help and support.
